On November 6th, Generosity.org held its 7th Annual “Night of Generosity” gala at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel. Singer Selena Gomez, model Hailey Baldwin, and actor Brian Austin Green were among the dozens of celebrities in attendance at this star-studded gala.
Sponsored by Wen by Chaz Dean and hosted by Jason Kennedy and Renee Bargh, the event raised nearly $250,00 dollars to build 50 wells in developing countries like Haiti, Ghana, and Uganda. The night also featured a three-course meal of fine cuisine, interactive exhibits in the lobby, and musical performances by Josiah Bell, Davie, Nikki Leonti, and Ryan Edgar.
Philip Wagner, the founder of Generosity.org, reflected on his walk down Wilshire that changed his life. He read in a newspaper that 1.1 billion people were without access to water. At that moment, he said, he realized, “We’re going to help somebody. We can’t help 1 billion people, but we can help somebody.” In one night alone, Wagner was able to provide clean water to 42,000 people, thanks to donations from supporters like hair stylist Chaz Dean, who donated 10 wells totaling $50,000, and Chrisley Knows Best star Todd Chrisley, who donated 5 wells.
Generosity.org has raised over $4 million and helped over 370,000 people in 19 countries to date. To find out more about how you can help end the global water crisis, go HERE!
