This past Saturday, May 3, LA City Council member Paul Krekorian and NewFilmmakers Los Angeles hosted the 4th Annual Los Angeles Student Media Festival. High school students from cities across LA County—Beverly Hills, El Monte, Pasadena, Los Angeles and more—submitted films for consideration. From the more than 150 entries, a panel of independent judges reviewed each film, narrowing the field to 37, all of which had the opportunity to be screened on Saturday. Awards were handed out to the top film in a variety of categories, as well as the honor of "Best In Show."
