This past weekend Beverly Wilshire buzzed with excitement as it was transformed for WildAid's annual fundraising gala. This year the event raised a staggering $1.8 million that will go towards WildAid's mission of ending illegal wildlife trade. The event pulled out all the stops with pre event cocktails and roaming stilt walkers, musical performances by The Compton Kidz choir and Taylor Dayne, a special vegetarian meal curated by the Beverly Wilshire, a silent and live auction, and more. Honoree Lupita Nyong'o accepted her award via a video message and spoke about her experiences learning about elephants and the ivory trade with WildAid.
