Last night, a fresh batch of film buffs with Hollywood dreams took over Sunset Gower Studios for NewFilmmakers Los Angeles' Film Premiere Event.
The night was filled with screenings of up-and-coming filmmakers' projects, from shorts to feature-length documentaries. Attendees were able to catch the screenings, the meet creative geniuses behind the films, and get answers to everything they'd ever want to know about the films and movie-making process through an audience Q&A. The screenings were followed by an after party reception where filmmakers could shake off their debut-night jitters and and talk shop with guests who came to see their work.
Hey, all of you who throw around your filmmaking aspirations as your "plan" but haven't actually made any moves, a small-scale film fest like NFMLA's is aproactive step in the right direction. Who knows-- the next Tarantino could be among last night's lineup...
