If you're observing the holidays the traditional way—you know, with presents—then having to brave the borderline-civilized wilds of the mall to shop for them is pretty much a non-negotiable. Unless, of course, you made it to the THREAD Holiday Pop-Up Shop this weekend.

Between the holiday music, swarms of people, bad lighting, and savage behavior of shoppers this time of year, holiday shopping at malls can do some serious damage to your faith in humanity and lower your serotonin level. There was however some relief from the mayhem for holiday shoppers at THREAD where a cover charge and having to know about the downtown shopping haven in the first place helped weed out those don't belong.

Guests of the one-weekend only pop-up space got a shopping experience with the works: clothes from over 50 independent designers, a wellness lounge, manicures, an art gallery, music, cocktails and more.

But all of these were just awesome bonuses to the fact that holiday shopping for once didn't have to include being elbowed by aggressive strangers while browsing the merch.
