Party guests at The Standard Downtown L.A. are used to flowing drinks, pulsating music, and inebriated actresses starting fights with hostesses, but Thursday night they were treated to something else: the eclectic, electronica-influenced soul of Nite Jewel and another dynamic pop-up art installation from the brilliant folks at L.A.'s hot young art upstart The Tappan Collective. It's good to try new things; I didn't eat salsa until I was 22 and now I can't stop.
