The weekly gourmet food truck hits the streets again today (and every Tuesday through November!) with fare courtesy of Jean Francois Meteigner of La Cachette Bistro in Santa Monica. And you're in luck because Cart For A Cause has revealed this week's epicurean offerings by the french chef. Today's menu includes a choice of either Steak Salad with Citrus Pepper Dressing & Cheddar Cheese Cookies, or Nicoise Salad with Spring Organic Vegetable Olive Oil Dressing & Cookies.
For just $10, these meals are totally worth a step outside into this dreary June Gloom. Plus, proceeds from the boxed lunches go to St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels program, giving you the chance to say "I give to charity" just by eating some seriously wallet-friendly gourmet.
The big red truck returns to the UTA Building in Beverly Hills, where it kicked off its weekly lunch project and had Hollywood agents, who typically power-lunch at The Grill, eating out of cardboard boxes on the ground (yes!). Today, it will be parked behind the building at 9560 Wilshire Blvd from 12-2pm. Better get there on the early side for a place in line because the meals go quick and you do not want to mess with these agent-types when their blood sugar is low!
