My Morning Jacket at The Wiltern
It's always great when a critically-acclaimed band comes to town, but it's even better when that band bucks your expectations by providing something more than a standard concert-going experience. That's why we're so excited about beloved countrified psychedelic rock outfit My Morning Jacket's 3-day stand at The Wiltern, which kicks off tonight. As part of the band's "Spontaneous Curation" tour, fans at the show will actually be able to vote on the set list in real time via Twitter, resulting in a totally organic concert experience. In addition, each night will feature a different big-name supporting act, as tonight's show is opened by GofG favorites Portugal. The Man, while tomorrow's show features folk singer-songwriter Iron & Wine, and the September 13th finale showcases jazzy indie hip-hop act Shabazz Palaces.
