Back in 2007, Record Store Day was conceived as a way to draw attention to the fast-dwindling, unique culture of the local, plucky and pretentious record store. Happening this Saturday (possibly to coincide with 4/20?), the celebration has spread across the U.S.. With a dizzying list of vinyl LPs being released exclusively for Record Store Day, there are many reasons for music lovers to make pilgrimages to their local record shops.
