On Saturday I attended One Crazy Summer, an art and music festival held at the Hear Gallery in Los Angeles. The party was hosted by Frank Venadas and Scarlett Casanova in a warehouse in downtown that allowed the festivities to continue throughout the night. There was live music with performances by Xanimo, The Growlers, and The Nightbirds along with Dj"s Franki Chan, Anne Lee, DJ Pubes, Ben & Michael, Joaquin, Bip Jeffington, Collinkill, Scarlett Casanova, and Notorious Jen.
More story and photos below: Local artists" work lined the walls along accompanied by projected video installations and elaborate light shows. The abundance of freebies had me hooked with services ranging from a makeover from a professional makeup artist and a free hair cut by a Beverly Hills hair stylist, to free professional photos shot by Rony Alwin for Rony"s Photobooth. Kiiaannii, Cassandra Marquez, Jon Fox, Jason Dissent, Katy Pointdexter, Rita Lichtwardt, Ping Ping, Tom Haubs, and Dan Montevaro were just some of artists who showcased their work. Overall it was a great experience and fantastic media collaboration.
