Hollywood has always been fond of holding on to the past - just consider all the movie remakes getting green-lit recently. And of all the glamorous relics recalling L.A.'s Golden Age, The Chateau Marmont has only gotten more infamous with age. Sunset Boulevard's Castle on a Hill is certainly not the most modern place to stay these days, or even the most luxurious, but its shabby-chicness seems only to add to its charm. Columbia Pictures founder Harry Cohn once told his stars, "If you must get into trouble, do it at the Chateau Marmont." Decades later, celebrities are still following his advice. Overdoses, orgies, a Lohan on the loose - this place has seen it all. But since the walls can't talk, we'll do it for them.
