[All photos by David Crotty for PMc]. Last night the Manifest Equality art show kicked off, displaying works from multiple artists in a converted Big Lots in Hollywood. Weird venue, great event.
Heather Graham, Daryl Hannah (Which of her random movies comes to mind when you see this name? For me, it's totally "Splash"), Marisa Tomei and Kelly Lynch checked out this pop-up gallery during yesterday evening's debut. The opening featured music from Fitz and the Tantrums, as well as DJ sets by Tim Biskup and Fairey. It is now open to the public and follows on the heels of the Manifest Hope sister project which staged in DC during the presidential campaign.
The works selected reflect the themes of equality, justice, unity and love; intended to underline the ongoing and very heated discussion surrounding Proposition 8.
