Slide #3

Maccheroni Republic
Jean Louis DeMori and Antonio Tomassi (former owners of Locanda Veneta, Ca'Brea, Ca'del Sole, Padri Cucina Italiana) opened up DTLA's Maccheroni Republic early this year, and are still going strong through the winter. The space used to be a Korean fast-food stop, but is now transformed into an Italian restaurant. De Mori says,
“We try to make something that people can afford. Italian restaurants in general are high end with very expensive pasta. We wanted to be more in contact with the reality of what the market is today.”
Everything below $15, you can get some of L.A.'s best homemade pasta, gnocchi, risotto and polenta, as well as desserts. You can also bring your own bottles of wine or beer and have a no corkage fee. Grab your favorite drink and head over to Maccheroni Republic without worrying about breaking your wallet. Maccheroni Republic 332 South Broadway Los Angeles, CA 90013 [Photos via, via, via]
