George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Martin Sheen Anchor a Star-Studded Staged Reading of Dustin Lance Black's "8"

An absolutely loaded cast of volunteers filled out this ensemble courtroom drama, which Black wrote by condensing and editing thousands of hours of courtroom transcripts from the actual trial. Asked whether it was hard to get this much talent to work for free, director Rob Reiner was quoted as saying it was "the easiest cast I've ever put together in my life," a strong indication that everyone involved sincerely believed in the quality and importance of the work.
