Phantom Planet & Haim at The Troubadour
If you haven't heard a peep about Phantom Planet in hot minute it's because the native L.A. band has been on an indefinite hiatus since 2008. However, their official time off found a definite end date in January when a pair of reunion shows at the Troubadour were announced. Wednesday night will be the band's first live performance in over three years giving it much promise to be especially great as they've presumably been preparing a strong comeback, and will at the very least make for an interesting show to see how much (or little) they've changed and evolved since their time apart. [Photo via] Regardless of Phantom's showing, Haim, the trio of Jewish sisters who have proven they can rock harder than most, is opening. This band alone, which has already earned the accolades the L.A. Times and Vogue to name a few, is worth hitting the Troubadour Wednesday night. And if you don't yet know why, all the more reason for you to go and understand what we mean. Haim is blowing up right now so we suggest you check them out for yourself when given an opportunity such as this. [Details]
