Mayer Hawthorne at The Wiltern
Get loose to the live vocal and instrumental stylings of Mayer Hawthorne, whose soulful pop 60s R&B sound is of another era but a welcome addition to what is currently happening in music. DJ/producer Andrew Cohen (that's his given name) lays down all his own instrumentals in the studio, but is backed by a full band in his live performances to give them extra punch. This show and its serious Motown flavor will definitely see a lot less head banging, and more groovy finger snapping and swaying.
