It only makes sense that the top destination for L.A.'s fun-loving hippies/beach bums have it's own music fest inspired by the original celebration of peace love and music that is Woodstock '69. On Sunday, Venicestock 2010 took over the boardwalk's Windward Plaza for an all-day seaside music festival all its own.

A diverse crowd of skaters, surfers, locals, non-Venetians, original and nouveau-hippies alike all came out to the enjoy the sunshine, ocean breeze, hopefully little ganj, and the free live performances throughout the day.  The Venicestock lineup consisted of local bands such as the Fitter, Stevie Starlight, The Mowgli's, and Jason Heath and the Greedy Souls. And of course food trucks were conveniently stationed nearby to make sure festers had plenty to munch on while soaking up the day's rays and tunes.

A free live concert steps away from the beach with more than enough food and drink was the prefect way to spend your lazy Sunday and take advantage of what's left of this summery weather.
