In a final hurrah to culminate this summer's bout of seemingly endless music fests, face-painted, feather donning children came out for the 7th annual Fuck Yeah Fest. Over the course of Saturday and Sunday, the nouveau hippies withstood the weekend heat in L.A.'s State Historic Park downtown as they sat on the grass in their thrift store finest for a music lineup that included The Soft Pack, !!!, Panda Bear, Sleep and The Rapture and sets by stand up comedians you probably know best from the "Chelsea Lately" round table.
Oh, and Ryan Gosling's band, Dead Man's Bones, performed. Yeah, imagine that: a hot, young actor making the crossover into music by fronting a band. Crazy! But we're not complaining, we'll take a (Steinberger?) headless bass-playing Ryan Gosling center stage all day! You know he was totally flaring those gorgeous nostrils of his pretty good while strumming away and busting those harmonies. Swoon!
These are completely gratuitous. You're welcome.
