You're Invited: Chilli Beans Hollywood Flagship Grand Opening Party!

TODAY, Tuesday, October 30th, uber-cool sunglasses and watch brand Chilli Beans opens their L.A. flagship and wants you to come help celebrate the launch of this new Hollywood & Highland store, their biggest location yet. This all-day party will feature tons of music, including DJ sets by Ariel Pink & Dirty Dave and giveaways of shades and other goodies throughout the day.

About Chilli Beans

When Brazilian entrepreneur Caito Maia launched the modern sunglasses and watch brand Chilli Beans in 1998, he wanted it to capture the spirit of his home country: free-spirited, and above all fun. We think he's done a pretty great job on both fronts. Chilli Beans is constantly releasing awesome new merch (they just did a Day of the Dead watches collection) and getting involved with the community. Case in point: their live art installation, which was a massive, eye-catching sunglasses shaped foam installation (see above photo) that debuted at FYF Fest this year. The piece also worked to complement a limited edition sunglasses collection they put out as a collaborative effort with the makers of the music festival. If you're dying to get your hands on a pair yourself, keep an eye out for their "Chilli Truck" mobile store they'll be taking all over the country to music festivals over 2012 and 2013!

Chilli Beans Comes to Hollywood & Highland

Though Chilli Beans recently opened four other Los Angeles-area stores (Westfield Century City, Glendale Galleria, Melrose Avenue and Santa Monica Place!), they consider this Hollywood location their flagship (and biggest yet). To celebrate, they're taking over the center court at the Hollywood & Highland Complex for a party with DJ sets starting starting at 2pm, live performances by New Orleans emcee Big Freedia, Stones Throws Records' DāM-FunK and DJ sets by the effervescent Ariel Pink and Dirty Dave that will keep the party going long after the sun sets.

Guests will have numerous chances to win discounts, free sunglasses and other merch just by checking into the new Chilli Beans store on Facebook with a new winner selected every hour, plus a grand prize winner at the end of the night. The best part? Chilli Beans winners can pick from any pair of sunnies in the store! They're also going to have that sunglasses installation out so guests can add their doodles to it alongside those left by FYF attendees and Coachella Valley Art Scene Founder Sarah Schneideman.

Between the music, entertainment and free Chilli Beans shades and goodies they're giving away to guests throughout the day, this is definitely one party you'd be sorry to miss.
