Peter Guber
A recent addition to the Magic Johnson team is power-broker Peter Guber, the chairman of Mandalay Entertainment and co-owner of the Golden State Warriors. Guber has worked with Johnson in the past on the line of Magic Johnson Movie Theaters and joins the bidding team as a minority investor. With many entertainment industry-related assets and experience in owning/operating seven different sports teams, Guber may be the cash infusion that the Magic Johnson team needs to sway McCourt into taking their bid.
If the Johnson/Guber team managed to successfully buy the Dodgers, they've said that they would hand the reins to longtime sports figure Stan Kasten, who has previously run the Washington Nationals and the Atlanta Braves, as well as the NBA's Atlanta Hawks and the NHL's Atlanta Thrashers. The Braves and Hawks in particular thrived under his stewardship, and there's little reason to believe he wouldn't be a very good thing for a Dodger organization in desperate need of leadership.
