5. Beer Garden Happy Hour

Happy hour in general is one of man's greatest inventions. Even if the prices aren't any less than they are normally, there's still an overall fun-loving, joyous vibe unique to happy hour time that overpowers your spending care-level. And getting some much deserved post-work drinks in a beer garden is akin to the satisfaction in ditching your afternoon lecture to kick it with some cold ones on the porch of the fun frat house (minus the array of broken furniture and unidentifiable but definitely disgusting filth everywhere), or in my case, straight lamping on The Terrace at the student union of my Alma Mater along the lake. Yes, the union at the University of Wisconsin-Madison serves us pitchers of beer. Achieve this wonderful feeling on the roof of The Standard downtown at the new Biergarten which happens to be dope.
