Our office fell in love with this photo taken in front of Grauman's Chinese Theatre in 1953 when we found it today! Wait, so was hair color really controversial in Hollywood back then or something...?
Apparently, because these brunettes and redheads are protesting in front of the theater showing Gentlemen Prefer Blondes starring Marilyn Monroe. We're thinking this had to be a really clever PR stunt. Even still, this photo is brilliant. And fun to see what the sidewalk in front of the Hollywood Blvd landmark was like before it was crawling with Spider-Man and Elvis street impersonators....
