Outside Lands 2012: In Photos

The Park

For the past five years, Outside Lands has been held in Golden Gate Park, a massive 1,000+ acre green space cutting a long ribbon through the Northwest corner of the city. The name "Outside Lands" comes from the original description of the space in the late 1800's, when it was thought of as a "great sand waste" of little value to city dwellers or developers.
