Taken yesterday off the side of Huntington Beach Pier by Ed Templeton with this caption:
"The tide was low, the Pacific was clear, the waves breaking in shallow water, from the pier we watched bat rays and sting rays, and cormorants chasing schools of tiny fish moving with quick directional shifts. Surfers crowded the waves, the older guys with long and graceful moves and the kids trying to blast air on every wave, only to flounder in the air and be splashed back down."
