Words of affirmation and acts of service are great and all, but our love language is without a doubt tabletop.
In celebration of this most love-filled Valentine's Day season, chef and haute hostess Romilly Newman has partnered with pal Margot Mayer of treasure chest Curio Shop to curate a most charming collection inspired by dinner parties past.
"When we sat down to work on the collection, we dreamed up our fantasy tableware," shared the annoyingly chic Mayer.
"It was very much inspired by Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette and embracing very feminine 18th and 19th century pieces. While a dealer never kisses and tells when it comes to sourcing, everything Margot finds for Curio Shop comes from all across Europe whether it be an old world auction house or someone’s grandmother selling family heirlooms. The magic of the collection is that it spans countries and periods but feels like it was almost meant to live together."
Some favorites to grab before they're inevitably snatched up?
A George III Cellarette perfect for stashing your best bottles of wine.
Louis XV Candelabras that convert into individual candle holders.
A 19th Century French Leech Bowl you definitely don't need to use for storing your leeches, but also, great for that if you're in the market. Or, like, holding flowers.
