Super Bowl XXV, 1991
Performers: New Kids on the Block, Disney characters, Warren Moon, 2,000 local children
We guess the figure skating fiasco did not seem too bad at the time, though, for the year before audiences had to endure the cringe-worthy spectacle of grown men croon love songs to throngs of hopping five year old girls. The discomfort was only one part of the psychedelic ridiculousness of the show, however, as the New Kids On the Block gave way to an anthem of "It's a Small World After All." We get it, Super Bowl. They're children. But Donnie Wahlberg and the gang are very much not and you're making everyone feel weird.
