In fulfillment of what must be some prophecy that was set long ago, this year's Miami Art Week kicked off, as always, with The White Cube party at Soho Beach House.

The evening began with an intimate dinner à la plage, followed by a party filled with special performances.

Pop star Kelis took the stage, continuing what seems to be the curious second coming of her Milkshake fame. I mean, she literally just had a gig at Lauren Santo Domingo's Club Moda and earlier in the summer worked the crowd at Southampton Art Center’s Art After Dark...

Everyone loves a comeback I suppose! Oh, and milkshakes!

Funk musician Roy Ayers also performed for the lively scene.

The event itself was a complete rager and set a high standard for the rest of the week.

One of the hardest parties to get into, White Cube was brimming with A list guests including Vincenzo de Bellis, Ben Brown, Sara Flores, Yvonne Force, Alex Gartenfeld, Louise Giovanelli, Kimberly and Ben Gould, Noah Horowitz, Michèle Lamy, Alf and Clara Naman, Nancy Nasher, Gregor Muir, Mike de Paola, Loring Randolph, Sandretto and Agostino Re Rebaudengo, Mary Rozell, Ilana Savdie, Marc Spiegler, Jeremy Strick, and Jason Swartz, Tunji Adeniyi-Jones, Brett and Laura Alex-Jeans, Alia Al-Senussi, Laurent Asscher, Ian Alteveer, Francesca Amfitheatrof, Eric André, Pablo León de la Barra, Benjamin Booth-Clibborn, James Booth-Clibborn, Amalia Dayan, Ben Gorham, Harrison Vail, Elise Taylor, Zoe Buckman, Wes Aderhold, Ty Sutherland, Joe Jonas, Adam Lindemann, Barry Sternlicht, Henry Taylor, Emily Thomas, and Nicola Vassel.
