You probably have seen this show before, though you don't want to admit it to yourself. Like an addict, you are in denial. It's that show that rears its ugly head around 10pm when you are trying to wind down and pull yourself away from the boob tube. Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew is a mediocre show at best, underwhelming, undistinguished, and yet somewhat addictive. Daniel Baldwin is the only participant with any real star power, and his is weak at best, riding off the largess of the Baldwin clan.
So why do I like watching it? I don't really know. Perhaps the show is a testament to the idea that if you put a group of ANY people together and place a camera on them, humans will watch. In any event, last night's show was good for a few laughs. For starters Daniel was shown on the phone with his "manager". I'm not sure what that guy might be managing, but hopefully for his sake he has a couple of other people to manage.
And lastly, Daniel proclaimed at the end of the show that the rehab facility was "no longer conducive to his sobriety" because earlier in the day there had been women in the pool with wet t-shirts and no tops on. In an very dramatic and sincere tone, he spoke of the situation with disgust and disappointment. Daniel Baldwin convincingly getting upset about a wet t-shirt contest? Ok, maybe he isn't such a bad actor after all.
