Full Time Writer/Co-Editor

Job Description: -Write and edit posts daily for GofG as well as help shape the directional voice and tone of site. -Mentor writing interns

Qualifications and Expectations -Strong understanding of the GofG brand and voice -Background in writing -Full knowledge of SEO and HTML -Desire to help shape traffic goals and implement plans necessary to achieve them -Above average knowledge of the cultural Zeitgeist of both the social media world and NYC ecosystem -Must be proficient in Twitter, Facebook, and have knowledge of platforms like Foursquare and Tumblr -Eye for detail and enthusiastic self starter -Good leader and motivated teacher.

Internships

GofG internships are unpaid but set up to give the interns a solid learning structure of the NYC cultural landscape in fields including but not limited to: Online Media, PR, Fashion, Marketing, Tech, Social Media, etc. Our goal is to provide you with the most integrated experience possible to help you find future paid work in your area of interest. Interns must be able to come into the office at least three days a week.

Editorial Interns: Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):

-Editorial fact checking -Event coverage -Photo tagging/post tagging -Editorial errands -Writing (limited)

Qualifications and Expectations:

-Minimum commitment of 12-15 hours per week in our offices (nolita) -Excellent interpersonal skills, independent work style, minimum supervision -Excellent research, writing and communications skills, a firm grasp of grammar -Proficiency in computers -Interest and knowledge of NYC nighlife, fashion, culture.
