Come celebrate the holiday season with The Daily Muse on Saturday! See below for details...- What do custom-fit clothing, accessible modern art, therapeutic spa products and personal assistants by the hour have in common?
They’re all unique, local holiday gifts on offer at SheMakes, a unique holiday craft and small-business fair supporting women and entrepreneurship, held this Saturday December 3, 2011, from 12 to 5pm, at 375 Hudson Street in New York City.
SheMakes is the brainchild of online women’s career resource The Daily Muse, in partnership with legendary advertising giant Saatchi & Saatchi, the exclusive global women’s network 85Broads and News On Women, a blog covering women in politics, foreign policy, and business.
The festival will bring together emerging female designers and business owners during one of the busiest retail times of the year to offer a one-of-a-kind opportunity for consumers to patronize female-owned small businesses. Through SheMakes, The Daily Muse hopes to inspire thoughtful consumer decisions and provide a community platform for women entrepreneurs to expand their audience.
Some of NYC’s top up-and-coming designers and creative are taking part. A few of our favorites include custom vintage-inspired dresses by Carrie Hammer, rent-able art from top emerging artists via Artsicle; a luscious sugar scrub by Khushi spa products, and this incredibly cute pajama shirt via Love & Dream.

The event will be open to the public and is free to attend. This is the first-ever festival from The Daily Muse, which launched in early September and has been recognized by Forbes and The Huffington Post as a stand-out new online resource.
See you this weekend!
