Bright yung thang, Maggie Dunlap works to define girlhood in the modern era with her Tender Show and NSFW embroidery, her Bloody Chambers II and Jungfrukällan instillation pieces, her weavings, and her illustrations. Though her social media presence is an art form in itself, her work focuses more on the cult of womanhood as a whole rather than her own individual womanhood. Her work turns highly female "crafts" (embroidery, arranging bedrooms, and textiles) into weighty statements on dichotomous sexualization and sexual oppression of young women.
