My turn! There’s no going back at this point. I ice my lips (opted out of the numbing cream as supposedly this causes swelling); Lauren’s assistant works the vein light thing and I clutch the chair’s arms for dear life while the needle inches toward my face. Honestly it wasn’t THAT BAD, plus I felt better knowing that there was little to no risk of bruising. I was finished before I knew it.

I’m feeling very sexily beestung - I’d asked for a VERY natural look, and Lauren’s handiwork has me looking super sultry with a je ne sais quoi about my face. I am pleased as punch.
Before sending us on our merry way, Lauren advises us to massage at home to prevent filler lumps and instructs us not to drink alcohol (another main cause of bruising). The latter should prove very difficult as I’m a liquor writer primarily and usually have a whole slew of booze meetings and happenings throughout the week. We’ll see how this pans out.
