According to a new report released by the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, Americans are spending some serious money on "perfecting" themselves. So how serious are we talking? Well, in 2016 alone, the country spent over $16 billion on non-invasive and surgical procedures. Crazy, no?
With the amount people are spending on the rise, it's no wonder the procedure costs themselves have seen some upward movement in the past year. Take for instance the cost of liposuction, which increased 6.1 percent, and nose reshaping, which increased 5.6 percent.
Can't seem to fathom how we've spent so much on cosmetic enhancements? Flip through for a breakdown of the total number of procedures and average cost of each for the most popular choices - from breast augmentations to botox.
