First there is SantaCon. Then there is the No Pants Subway Ride. And finally, this past Saturday was the 8th annual Idiotarod, an event the Brooklyn Paper succinctly heralds as "the famed third jewel of the hipster Triple Crown."
This year's teams assembled at Maria Hernandez Park in their finest costumes. Monsters, Mardi Gras revelers, robots, bumble bees, flannel-wearing lumberjacks, BP Oil/Fox News, Black Swans, bunnies and more made the four hour journey from Bushwick to Greenpoint via shopping cart. Take a look...
