"Best $2k I Ever Spent!" The Thrillist Jet Mystery Reunion Yacht Party
It had been nine long days since the Thrillist Mystery Jet landed back at JFK after a memorable trip to Jamaica, and all the new media attendees were dispersed throughout New York. Obviously, a reunion on a yacht was in order.

Last night, participants from the Jet Mystery Weekend, including Thrillist's Ben Lerer, Nick McGlynn, GofG's Carson Griffith, and the NY Post's Neel Shah, (who ironically wasn't on the Jet Mystery trip); boarded a yacht (or, as some obliterati members might say, the sinking ship of new media, or at the very least, the sinking ship of free perks for bloggers...) to rehash last weekend's "social media summer camp". And, in true Thrillist fashion, things got a little ridiculous... Exactly how ridiculous? We asked Carson, who was front and center, to fill us in on what non-Jet Mystery participants missed:
Even if the yacht actually never left the harbor liked I was hoping (my fingers were crossed it was taking us back to Jamaica), I did get to see the Thrillist boys in full force with their fist pumping once again. Their fraternity company knows how to get down. I would have appreciated a WARNING on the invitation that I was going to have to take my shoes off considering they made my outfit, but the abundance of top-quality drinks, music, and uh... a yacht, certainly made up for it. And while the invite had strict regulations for "no randoms" everyone was happy to see some sneak aboard: Neel Shah, Matt Levine, and a hot group of European men. You know what they say: If this boat starts a-rockin'... And the cabin doors were locked at one point in the night. But you didn't hear it from me...
These brave sailors board the ship armed only with promotional beef jerky.
Reunited, after long last...(one week)
First, they all had to take their shoes off.
Then, they did a little drinking...
A little posing for pictures...
A little screaming into a bullhorn...
And finally got down to the important business of dancing.
Only at social media parties do people dance this hard, while never letting go of their blackberry.
Will you be trying this dance move at your next party?
