If excruciatingly-detailed rich dude fantasy erotica is your thing, we've got some good news for you. The modern queen of the genre, E. L. James, is releasing a blush-worthy new read, and it's got everything you need to make up for that Fifty Shades dry spell.
On Thursday, the author announced her upcoming novel, The Mister, on the Today show. Although Anastasia Steele and Christian Grey won't be making an appearance, it seems there's a similar couple at the center of all the sexy drama. James described it as a "21st century Cinderella," as the story follows a wealthy Brit named Maxim (who boasts a "pale, taut backside" per an excerpt of the book - great!) and a mysterious new arrival to London, Alessia Demachi. Naturally, she is "musically gifted" and has a "troubled past," perhaps making her the edgier one in the relationship.
A press release describes the book as a "a roller-coaster ride of danger and desire that leaves the reader breathless to the very last page." However, given the title, setting, and comparison to Cinderella, we can't help but imagine an R-rated My Fair Lady-esque situation, in which the words "Oi, Mistah!" are shouted repeatedly in a cockney accent. In bed, of course.
Sweating already? You can pre-order The Mister, which comes out in April, on Amazon now.
