Patty Hearst, granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst, had quite the scandalous story, to say the least. She was kidnapped by the Symbionese Liberation Army when she was 19, and apparently suffered from Stockholm Syndrome,"joining" their cause and committing crimes for them. She was found and sentenced to jail time. Bill Clinton eventually pardoned her. Jeffrey Toobin wrote her biography called American Heiress: The Wild Saga of the Kidnapping, Crimes and Trial of Patty Hearst.
