Kanye West is officially back in the spotlight as fans await the release of his 10th studio album, Donda. In typical Kanye fashion, the artist has been stirring up plenty of publicity ahead of time, including hosting an intimate listening party for around 40,000 of his closest friends and fans on Thursday.
While the packed event at Atlanta's Mercedes-Benz Stadium certainly made headlines, most of them had nothing to do with music. Kanye arrived to the stage nearly two hours late, for one. His face was covered in some sort of balaclava, he didn't speak once, and smoke machines fogged up the entire stadium, making it difficult for fans to even catch a glimpse of him. Oh, and Kim Kardashian was there.
But of all the weird features of the album preview "party," it's the snack bar that everyone can't stop talking about.
A photo displaying a menu from the event has been making the rounds on social media due to the very overpriced snack options. We're talking $50 chicken tenders and $40 hot dogs...
Of course, this is the same guy who was able to sell out a plain white t-shirt priced at $120, so really, is it so surprising?
Though the jokes have continued, some fans have pointed out that this particular menu was specifically for suites, meaning that the food was priced for group orders. That would provide an explanation for at least one of the bizarre aspects of the night.
