While those of us who are religious readers of @deuxmoi saw this coming days ago (IYKYK), Emily Ratajkowski announced her exciting news on Monday with nothing less than an Instagram post of her new digital Vogue cover featuring her baby bump front and center in a silky slip dress.
However, the 29-year-old model, actress, and feminist activist, who is expecting with husband, indie film producer Sebastian Bear-McClard, didn't just stop at the typical "glowing mom-to-be" photo shoot. Yes, there were gorgeous photos of her bare bump shot by Cass Bird, but she paired them with a seriously cerebral personal essay exploring the lonely process of pregnancy, the complicated feelings that go with wondering her child's gender, and why she doesn't want to reveal it to the world.

In addition, Ratajkowski shared a series of intimate home video clips of the early days of her pregnancy and her growing baby bump, directed by her close friend Lena Dunham. Head to Vogue to read her essay and see the full, magical video!
