According to Gossip Girl reboot creator Joshua Safran, Mock had to be talked into auditioning for the role of Aki - which was literally inspired by him. "He didn’t want to do this, I talked him into it. I wrote the role for him, I reached out to see if he was interested – he sort of was, he sort of wasn’t," Safran told Mr. Porter.
Though he was hesitant at first, Mock obviously made his way to our HBO Max screens. "I collect hobbies. Acting is just another thing to add to the list, I guess," he's said.
If only all of our hobbies led to superstardom!
