Much to the delight of a swarm of paparazzi (and some lucky fellow diners), Rihanna stepped out in the Meatpacking District on Monday night for a family dinner in honor of her mom Monica Braithwaite’s 52nd birthday.
Donning see-through pants that perhaps only she can get away with for such an occasion, the singer and makeup mogul arrived fashionably late to the festivities, gift bag in hand. Her glam appearance came a day after she went incognito at a Stop Asian Hate rally and protest in the city on Sunday.

Per Page Six, the lavish celebration included caviar and plenty of champagne. So where did it all go down?
Pastis, of course!
Keith McNally's reincarnated Parisian-style bistro reopened for indoor dining back in February with other NYC eateries for groups up to 10 (RiRi's mom's bash was reportedly a party of 9). The hot spot is said to be a favorite of Rihanna's - after all, she did need to find a new go-to after Da Silvano closed.
Videos from the dinner show mama Monica being presented with a chocolate cake by staff, while the group sings "Happy Birthday" in a private booth.
We wonder who took care of the bill...
