Gawker's incessant coverage of the death of Heath Ledger continues....however, this is actually quite interesting. They are kind enough to enform us that the deceased star is having quite the impact on DVD sales. Amazon.com's list of the most popular DVD's sold usually contains mostly the new releases. From their post:
"Today's list contains three new arrivals: 10 Things I Hate About You, Brokeback Mountain, and a Knight's Tale, in 6th, 11th and 13th place respectively."
They are quick to point out that Brokeback Mountain, came in second, even though it was the most critically acclaimed film he made. Possibly because we all want to obviously remember Heath as the high school sweetheart over the gay-cowboy?
(note: at the time of this post, Brokeback moved to #15, now behind A Knight's Tale)
