As the winter months approach and New York grows colder, I search for some source of heat. There's nothing better than drinking for a cause. The warm glow of alcohol and benevolence is heady combination which shouldn't be missed.
Last Saturday, revelers braved the unseasonably warm November weather to hunker down at the Town Tavern in Greenwich Village, drinking for a cause, the Sunrise Day Camp. The Sunrise Day Camp is the only dedicated day camp in the nation for children with cancer, designed to meet the emotional, social, recreational and physical needs of these children.
Bonus points to the lads who showed up in the matching plaid shirts. Well played, sirs.
