UC Santa Cruz
We all dabble in drugs during college. Some of us just purchase Adderall from a drug dealer freelance psychiatrist during finals week. Who hasn't watched Workaholics or Broad City while stoned? Perhaps some of us have even rolled face to take Spring Weekend festivities to the next level. It's college. It's not like you need to book us a trip to Betty Ford for experimenting. However, a sorority at UCSC joined forces with a frat and got into the more...entrepreneurial side of drugs. Meaning they banded together to start an international drug ring, specifically dealing MDMA. The U.S. Postal Service (!) and The Department of Homeland Security (!!) noticed that an influx of packages was coming from overseas. The police and Homeland Security agents found over $100,000 worth of molly (meaning 4.1 pounds or over 5,000 tablets of the drug, however you want to put it) in these students' possession kept in three different homes. Maybe they just should have started an app or bar-tended at a student bar like normal college students.
