Romantically, Chait has been linked to Ashley Olsen, having dated her for a year and a half beginning in 2005. Problems arose as Olsen moved away from L.A. based Chait to Manhattan to attend NYU.
Page Six reported their split in 2007, citing commitment issues:
"When they were together over the holidays, she told him she was looking for something more permanent. He wasn't ready for that. So they decided on an amicable parting."
Coincidentally, Olsen's high end line The Row took home the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award earlier this year.
