-He started his career at 14 with an internship at
Frederator Studios as an animation producer. This sparked his interest in computer engineering.
-Karp moved on to work for John Maloney's
UrbanBaby, an online parenting website. Because of his impressive work he was placed as the head of product and equity.
-He left UrbanBaby in 2006 to start Davidville, a software consultancy firm before developing Tumblr.
-He launched
Tumblr in 2007 and gained 75,000 users within the first two weeks. Today, Tumblr has around 100 million blogs.
