-In addition to parenthood and being a television personality, Bill Powers is a novelist.
-Powers' first book, Tall Island, is a Manhattan satire which, as Alan Cumming described, "makes Sex and the City look like kindergarten."
-Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman added: "Everything I love about New York is in this book."
-Earlier this month, Powers celebrated the launch of a novella, What We Lose in Flowers.
