- In 1995, she joined Liz Tilberis at Harper's Bazaar.
- She freelanced on advertising campaigns for CK Jeans, Brooks Brothers, Dolce and Gabbana, Versace, Helmut Lang, Anne Taylor and St. John and worked with Marcello Seba and Ellus Jeans
- In 1999, Filipa joined Paul Cavaco at Allure magazine as Bookings Editor.
- In 2000, she switched gears to her passion and became Allure's Accessories Director.
- In 2004 Fino was invited by Anna Wintour to join Vogue as Senior Accessories Editor
- In 2011, she left Vogue to pursue her own Fino File publication
