The Creation of Sophmore
- She graduated from State University of New York at Purchase (she majored in sociology and minored in film) and worked at Filth Mart where she learned the retail business - In 2003, Chrissie began to make T shirts "just for fun" -  Her designs included slogans like "Page Six Six Six" and "The Socialites" in The Strokes font - Her buddy and fellow party gal, Charlotte Ronson, began carrying the shirts in her shop, and buyers were suddenly interested in Chrissie's style - Soon after, celebrities like Britney Spears were rocking the T's - She teamed up with Madeleine von Froomer (who was working at Proenza Schouler at the time) and started Sophmore in 2007 with some saved up money - According to Chrissie her designs focus on both comfort and wear-ability:
“I don’t really like to dress up and wanted to create clothes that someone like me would feel comfortable in — but still be able to wear out at night.”
