Prints, patterns, color, volume!
No, we're not talking about experimental modern art installations, but the ensembles donned by the well-dressed attendees of this week's MoMA PS1 Benefet Gala and after-party. Given the occasion, though, bold, art-inspired looks could only be expected.
The evening kicked off with a high-spirited dinner under the stars in the museum's courtyard, where guests celebrated this year's gala honorees, philanthropist Agnes Gund and artists Djali Brown-Cepeda, Rashid Johnson, and Deana Lawson. After a crooning performance by Baby Rose, the crowd was treated to closing remarks by none other than Mayor Eric Adams.
Following the dinner, guests made their way inside for the lively after-bash where they took to the neon-lit industrial dance floor and let loose to the tunes of DJs Soul Summit, Gabrielle Kwarteng, and Sterling Juan Diaz into the wee hours. And if their looks weren't already statement-making, late-night party-goers were provided with MoMA PS1 caps reading "Artists Make New York."
Well, they certainly do.
